Franking Ink cartridges when empty can be remanufactured and refilled at least five times. It is for this reason that Frank-it champions recycling. Many of the own-brand franking ink suppliers place a computer chip on the cartridge cutting off ink supply after a twelve month period- whether or not there’s ink in the cartridge, obviously this means that you have to fork out for a new cartridge. At Frank-it we don’t believe that this kind of behaviour is good for customer relationships and so none of our ink cartridges have chips in them- you can use your ink cartridges for as long as there’s ink in them!
